Course Purpose:

The primary goal of the Carbine Shooting Instructor Development Course is to familiarise participants with the most up-to-date tactical shooting training standards in order to improve their skills or build upon their current knowledge and abilities.

The Train the Trainer concept of the course will provide participants with the skills to excel not only as shooters themselves, but more importantly – to effectively pass on this expertise to other students.

This presents a valuable chance for educators currently working in various sectors to enhance their qualifications by familiarising themselves with the Romulus Mihu -Train/Assist/Consult approach, boasting over 25 years of expertise in training military, police, and security personnel.

Weapons & Ammunition:

WEAPONS: 

AR15 / AKM – AMMUNITION: 223R / 7.62 – 500 rds.

Methods of teaching: 

This Course will be taught using theoretical and practical exercises. The lectures will be inside classroom and in the shooting range.  

Skill Pre-requisites: 

This particular course necessitates prior training and/or experience in the subject matter. 

The Romulus Mihu -Train/Assist/Consult program welcomes individuals from Law Enforcement or Military backgrounds to participate in this training. 

GEAR: Sturdy / Tactical Belt, tactical or combat clothing and footwear (UF PRO, 5.11, Blackhawk, Helikon…), optional ballistic plate carrier or vest with pouches for AR15/AK47 magazines, helmet or tactical hat, eye protection (shooting goggles), active ear protection, tactical gloves and optional knee pads. 

Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions.

Training Program:

• Guidelines for Safety – Theoretical Principles and Procedures for Conducting Safe Training at the Firing Range.
• The fundamentals of shooting – posture, grip, trigger control, sight alignment & picture, breathing & follow through.
• The fundamentals of shooting with different weapons platforms – gun, submachine gun, carbine, sniper rifle.
• Carbine operation – structure, parts, maintenance and cleaning.
• Methodology of running theoretical and practical activities – training with dummy rounds & live ammunition.
• Detecting and analysis of mistakes made by the student during the shooting training – feedback methods.
• Methods of verifying theoretical and practical knowledge of the student – tests, exercises.
