If you’re looking to improve your shooting skills with a semi-automatic pistol, then Romulus Mihu’s Red Dot Sight Pistol Operator Course is the right choice for you. This course is designed to teach you how to use red dot sights on pistols accurately and effectively in various light and environmental conditions.
Course Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to provide you with comprehensive training in red dot sight usage, including mounting, zeroing, and maintenance, as well as shooting techniques such as grip, stance, and dot tracking. You will also learn how to use red dot sights in real-world scenarios, including low-light environments and engaging moving targets.
Topics Covered:
The topics covered in this course include red dot zeroing, optic parts, mounting and zeroing, maintenance at both the end-user and armorer-levels, and various modes of practice. Additionally, the course covers shooting techniques such as draw and presentation, dot tracking, target focus, and engaging moving targets, as well as equipment considerations such as holsters and accessory selections.
Weapons and Ammunition:
You can bring your own semiautomatic pistol with an RDS installed, or use one provided by Romulus Mihu. Additionally, you’ll need 9 mm ammunition with a minimum of 500 rounds.
Skill & Equipment Prerequisites:
To participate in this course, you must have safe gun handling skills with a solid understanding of the fundamentals. Romulus Mihu recommends that you take a Tactical or Dynamic Pistol course prior to the RDS Pistol Transition Course. You’ll also need a sturdy/tactical belt and a safe and reliable holster (no Serpas or old leather holsters).
